Selecting a frame
When your photo is uploaded it will be displayed in a random 5X7 frame or in a frame you have already selected. You can view your photo in a variety of frames by selecting frame categories and clicking on the frame thumbnails at the top of the page. Our frames fit the standard print sizes: 4X6 (10cmX15cm), 5X7 (13cmX18cm) and 8X10 (20cmX25cm). You can even add a mount. Try a large 8X10 frame with a mount, they look great!
What frame should I pick for my photo? Well, that is really a matter of taste. Play around with different frame styles and colours and you should be able to find a match. Plain frames such as the Classic range; especially the black and natural seem to work with everything. Matching the colours in your photo with the frame colour will help.
About our Frames
Our frames fit the standard print sizes: 4X6 (10cmX15cm), 5X7 (13cmX18cm) and 8X10 (20cmX25cm). When you look at your photo in a frame a quarter inch is hidden behind the rebate (inner edge of the frame). What you see on the screen is how it will look when we have it framed.
We carry a selection of wood, metal, leather and resin frames in a wide variety of colours. Prices reflect the frame quality and size. Top quality 8X10s being the most expensive and the small basic wood frames the cheapest.
Almost all our frames sit horizontally and vertically (landscape or portrait) and can also be hung on the wall horizontally or vertically also. The details of each frame can be seen in its description. We include a few wall hook with all frames that can be wall hung. A tap from the heal of your shoe and there it is.
Adding a mount
Adding a mount will make the most of your photo. A mount ("matte" in North America) is an ivory (cream) colour card with a cutout for your print. Our mounts are made from top quality photo grade materials and expertly cut with and attractive bevelled edge. Ivory is the common mount colour used by framers. In a few months we hope to add a selection of colour mounts.
You can select a 4X6 print and a mount with any 5X7 frame. You can put a 4X6 or 5X7 print in any 8X10 frame by adding a mount. Remember the print and mount are included in the price.
